Free Web Page Offer:
A Few Basic Rules
- The web page layout is standardized for a reason. FUSION cannot provide a different layout/format for each member. It’s one size fits all! ( click here to see layout )
- FUSION will cover all costs relating to the layout, design and creation of each single Member’s Gallery page as per the stated FUSION template and guidelines. FUSION will also absorb all costs relating to the linking (accessibility) of that page from within the FUSION site, and will cover all Internet Service Provider (ISP) fees for storing and/or accessing that single member page. (see also #5 below).
- If you want to develop a hybrid layout, with extra info, you can do that for your own web site . . . but it falls outside of FUSION’s free one-page offer. We feel that our template covers a lot of ground for most people, and provides a good basic start. Plus, if you already have your own web site (or are planning one), we will happily link to that site from your FUSION Members’ Gallery page. Just be sure to include your own url on the Registration Form.
- If you don't want a free web page, but want us to link to your pottery or glass personal site (and you are a FUSION member) then Click here to send the FUSION office your web address.
- The one year timeframe for having your free FUSION Gallery page begins once your page is linked live AND provided you remain a FUSION member throughout the following 12 month period (minimum). If your membership lapses for any reason, then FUSION reserves the right to de-link your page from our Members’ Gallery section, and/or delete URL references from the FUSION Links page.
- De-linked members’ pages (for people who are no longer members) will be deleted from the FUSION application with our Internet Service Provider at the end of the current calendar year in which the membership expired.
- You must provide your membership expiry date on the Registration Form provided (refer to your Profile). All memberships will be checked and confirmed by the FUSION office before any work is started on the member’s page.
- FUSION’s WebMaster will provide members with a ballpark timeline for completion of the page to the artist, via email. Members are responsible for proofing their own page on the web for typos etc., and communicating same back to WebMaster.
- Any updates to images or revisions to text requested by the member after the Gallery page has been linked live will become the financial responsibility of the member, and will not be covered by FUSION under its free web page offer. This means that members will be responsible for arranging work and payment directly with the FUSION WebMaster for same.
- Any revisions to the member’s Gallery page must conform to the existing Gallery format/template. Failure to follow the template guidelines may result in your Request Form being emailed back to you for revising.
- Page naming conventions: FUSION will use this format: your first initial followed by your last name. This way, you can easily remember your own web page, plus personalize your business cards and letterhead with your very own FUSION page address.
Example: (for Susan Card’s original Members' Gallery page)
www.clayandglass.on.ca/fusion/scard - FUSION reserves the right to reject any images or text submitted to its Online Members' Gallery which it deems to be defamatory, obscene or 'offensive' to the general public. Images and/or text deemed racist, promoting hatred, pornographic or demeaning to individuals will also not be accepted for the Online Members' Gallery.
