Free Web Page Offer:
Guidelines for Emailing Images

  • Maximum of four (4) colour images of recent work allowed.
  • We accept a jpg or gif file only, with a resolution of between 100 and 300 dots per inch (dpi). (Please note that PC monitors are limited in their ability to display resolution higher than 72-100 dpi, so if you send us high-resolution images, they will display in the 72-100 range.)
  • Ensure that images are of good quality, with good lighting. You may want to hire a professional to take some good slides or photos!
  • Indicate clearly which image is to be the ”thumbnail that appears as the small image at the top of your page. Note that this image will be made larger when someone clicks on the image on your page. Click here to refresh your memory of where the thumbnail resides.
  • Name each of the four images with your first initial and last name i.e. scard1.jpg, scard2.jpg, etc etc. That way, we can always keep the images filed at our end under the correct artist’s name.
  • Make sure the WebMaster knows the titles of any pieces (if titled) and the dimensions and medium. These details should be indicated clearly in your accompanying email when you email the images to the WebMaster.
Example: scard1.jpg - Porcelain bowl: Hearts Delight”
